Yale's international undergraduate guidance brings together testing, English-language evidence and translated documents. These are separate requirements to check before you treat an application as complete. A useful plan records the instructions that apply to you and the person responsible for each supporting item.
Select one first-year application
Yale's application overview lists Common Application, Coalition Application on SCOIR and QuestBridge options. It instructs applicants to submit one application in a cycle. Read the relevant platform and program instructions before choosing a route.
Keep an application worksheet for the route you actually selected. Do not create parallel versions just because several platforms exist. Record where recommendations, the school report and transcript are supplied, and preserve the institution's current instructions beside your checklist.
Check the two testing questions separately
Yale's international page currently requires SAT or ACT for first-year and transfer applicants. English proficiency or international leaving exams do not replace that academic testing requirement.
The page separately requires English proficiency results from non-native speakers who lack at least two years of secondary schooling with English as the instructional language. Check its accepted tests and the applicable conditions for your own education history.
Create separate entries for academic testing and English proficiency. For each, note the test, the official instruction, the planned submission and any question still unresolved. A directory's historical enrolled-student score range cannot determine the current rule or your personal admission probability.
Plan certified translations
Yale says documents in another language need certified English translations and does not accept translations prepared by the applicant. That distinction matters when organizing transcripts and recommendation letters.
Ask the school or appropriate document provider how the original and translation will be supplied. Record the responsible person and expected completion date. Use a private planning record; your transcript and identity details do not need to appear in a public college comparison or a search query.
Compare Yale's costs with a complete budget
Open the Yale institution page for source-linked historical charge and admissions data. Match reporting years when comparing institutions. Tuition and required fees are a starting component, rather than a complete personal living-and-study budget.
Use the budget worksheet with current institution-specific expenses. Keep housing, meals, insurance and travel distinct from tuition. Treat funding applications as pending until the relevant award is confirmed, then record the amount and period of the actual offer.
Verify the program and receipt of materials
Your intended subject, the application route and the reporting population on a statistical page are different research fields. Confirm current degree options through Yale's own academic resources rather than assuming that a historical completion count guarantees an intake.
Before submitting, check the selected program's current timetable and supporting-document instructions. After submission, use Yale's own status tools to confirm receipt and follow up on missing items. CollegeVerse can help organize a shortlist; it does not transmit your application or evaluate eligibility.
