What to verify for this unit

Original DUO RIO overview of funded current and future higher education education records. OPLEIDING means a programme and VARIANT a programme variant. Each unit page groups only the original OPLEIDINGSEENHEIDCODE; an offering or location is not counted as a separate degree. The list does not cover every private provider or guarantee that applications are open.

Reported start, end and intake dates remain source evidence rather than a promise of current availability. A missing end date does not establish an open intake. Names, qualification labels, codes, languages and missing values remain in Dutch. No CIP equivalence, inferred admissions conditions or institution-name matches are added. Contextual offering records and source-name aliases are preserved together.

OMSCHRIJVING
MSc European Forestry (MSc EF) is a top class Erasmus Mundus Maser Programme in the field of forest sciences.\n\nThe aim is to prepare professionals to tackle **the four Grand Challenges in forestry** : 1) Climate change and the increasing frequency and intensity of natural disturbances, 2) Lack of biomass for the bioeconomy industry and mitigating CO2 emissions, 3) Declining biodiversity and conversion of forest land to other land uses, and 4) Increasing societal demand for non-market ecosystem services. We will provide students with in-depth knowledge of the "modernised" forest management practices.\n\nMSc EF graduates will be awarded a joint or a double degree, depending on their host university in the second year. Intensive collaboration and networking with potential employers ensures high graduate employability worldwide.\n\nIn MSc EF, **seven European top-class forestry universities** collaborate intensively to offer joint study modules in addition to their existing curricula. The MSc EF Consortium consists of the following institutions:\n\n* University of Eastern Finland (coordinator), **Finland**\n* AgroParisTech, **France**\n* University of Freiburg, **Germany**\n* University of Lleida, **Spain**\n* BOKU University, **Austria**\n* Transilvania University of Brasov, **Romania**\n* Wageningen University, **the Netherlands** -- a new Full Partner from 2026 onwards\n\nIn addition, **Associated Partner HEIs** in Albania, Brazil, Canada, China, Moldova, Nigeria, South Africa, Ukraine and US and **Associated Industrial/Public/NGO Partners** worlwide contribute to programme delivery.\n\nWhen Wageingen University is chosen as the host university in the second year you will recieve, upon succesfull completion of all the courses in the programme, a master degree in European Forestry issued by the University of Eastern Finland and a master degree in Forest and Nature Conservation issued by Wageningen University.
