COLLEGE PLANNING ESSENTIALS
A practical college application checklist
Confirm your applicant category and intended intake. Find the official requirements for academic records, language tests, references and application fees. Record deadlines with their time zones, and check whether scholarships or specific programs use separate deadlines. Requirements must be verified with the institution before applying.
Identify your applicant route
Confirm whether you are applying as a first-year, transfer, graduate or other applicant. Institutions define applicant categories differently. Citizenship, previous university enrollment and qualifications may affect which instructions apply, so use the current official admissions page for your route.
Record the correct intake and deadlines
Check the intended start term and application round. Program, scholarship, portfolio and document deadlines may differ. Record the deadline date and time zone, and distinguish submission of the application from arrival of supporting materials.
Prepare a document checklist
List academic records, required translations, test reports, recommendations and any course-specific materials. Note whether unofficial copies are accepted during review and when official records are required. Use the institution’s delivery instructions rather than assuming that an email attachment is sufficient.
Verify fees and language policies
Check the application fee, payment method, waiver conditions and refund policy. For language requirements, identify accepted tests, validity periods, score rules and exemptions. Historical SAT ranges or admission rates are not current minimum requirements.
Review before submission
Check names, dates, course choices and document uploads against the application instructions. Keep confirmation receipts and follow the institution’s application portal for missing items. CollegeVerse does not submit applications; always complete that process through the official institution or authorized application platform.
